Walgreens Coupon $10 off $40 - makes the camera deal REALLY sweet.

>> August 28, 2008

There is a new walgreens coupon good tomorrow and saturday. This makes the camera deal a bit sweeter if you are in the market for it. Unfortunately I already submitted my rebate, so I can't do it.

$65.99 - $10 coupon... 55.99 - $40 rebate (or $44 if you choose to receive it back as a walgreens give card)= 15.99 or 11.99
Hot Hot Hot!

I am so determined now to get this camera with that great coupon. Today was just a bad day to even call around. So tomorrow I'll be on the hunt. Let me know if you see any more around Tucson. (The Cortaro store is the one I tried today...so I'll try some other nearby tomorrow). Thanks again!!!

I was inspired to go camera searching at my nearby stores (Ina/Thornydale, Ina/La Cholla, and OG/La Cholla).. I didn't see the exact one I found, however you should try the twin peaks store (I am guessing by cortaro you mean cortaro and silverbell?). There is another walgreens out that way hidden back behind the safeway off by twin peaks elementary... I don't know the streets exactly, but I get the impression that it doesn't get hit as hard for deals.

I might try the stores going towards the tucson mall.. I am figuring out what I need anyway, so if I see one I will let you know.

KC,

I had already claimed my rebate online also but I explained that to my manager at my store and he did it a different way so that my receipt stayed intact! He rang the camera up again and then refunded it using the new receipt #. He never even looked at the # on mine. So call your store manager and explain it all to him; you may still be able to get the $10. and keep your receipt intact. I told my store manager that I was even willing to take the $10. on a giftcard if it would be easier for him but he said that wasn't necessary. he gave me the $10.00 in cash!

I FOUND ONE!!! I am so excited. I called the Oro Valley store on 1st/Tangerine and they had one left and held if for me. I used my $10 off and now will submit the rebate. You're awesome, thanks for checking all those stores. I didn't know there was another Walgreens up by Safeway. I don't like the one on Cortaro/Silverbell and that's my closest one. So I'll have to start using that one. Thanks again!

Thanks for the tip precious.. I guess I could try, it just doesn't seem likely, but maybe. By the way did your store still have cameras? So technically you could return and rebuy anyway (not considering the special rebate circumstances). The manager might be more sympathetic to the cause if you could just do that anyway... but I know my store is sold out, I double checked last night.

Denae, I am so glad you found one! What a great deal. I am glad I could help in some way!

KC,

My store was sold out of the cameras but my manager had no hesitation giving me the $10. He says it is Walgreens policy to make the price adjustment if you purchased the camera in the last few days. Don't hesitate- call your store manager on the phone and explain it all to him. I told mine that I was disappointed that I had just purchased the camera and the next day the coupon came out in my e-mail. I explained how I had already submitted the rebate so I could not have my receipt voided and asked him if he could give me the $10. He said yes to come in and he would take care of it. He asked that I bring the camera though so he could scan it since he didn't have another one in the store. He never even looked at my receipt. It should be worth a telephone call to the store- all they can say is NO and you will probably be pleasantly surprised.

I'm wondering if having the $10 off is making this deal not work... I submitted my receipt yesterday and got my summary today and it's not on there at all! wahhh! I called the Easy Saver hotline (or whatever it's called) and they are so busy they said they would call me back...

kc August 30, 2008 at 4:56 PM

I don't think the $10 should make a difference. I did notice.. that when I bought it earlier this week and finalized my rebate.. It wasn't on my summary the next day, which worried me. But before I had a chance to call, I double checked online and it was showing up.
I don't think the $10 would make a difference.. the intent was probably $40 rebate on the full price, but clearly the 50% discount didn't affect my rebate, I can't imagine the extra $10 would either.

Precious,
I haven't been to Walgreens yet to use the coupon, but I might try and call and ask about the $10 coupon. Unfortunately my store is out of the cameras and I already threw away the packaging, so they couldn't even scan the one I bought.
I did use the $10 coupon at Albertsons today though. So I was happy about that. :)

KC,

Great job on using the $10. Walgreens coupon at Albies. I love using those type of coupons there.

My $10.00 Rebate on the camera took 3 days to show up. I submitted it on 8/27 and yesterday I got an e-mail showing the camera rebate and the extra $4.00 because I also claimed my rebate that same day.

The only time that I think someone might have to worry is if they added the receipt to the rebate. Then they returned the camera and repurchased it without adding the new receipt. Because what will happen is the first receipt because the camera was returned will be voided by Walgreens. The second receipt will take care of the rebate. Some of the people on the grocery boards do not have it showing because it takes a few days for it to all catch up and the first e-mail they get after adding the first receipt was voided because of the return.I warned everyone who visits my blog in a post I did to make sure they added that second receipt.

I am so sorry that you couldn't get the $10. off the camera but
with such a cute little one I can understand why you used it right away!

I also did a travel post today and linked you and your great Disney Trip posts.

Hi Precious,
I will go read your travel post. Thanks for letting me know. I am ok with losing out on the extra $10, since I had already opened up the camera. When I was buying it, I even thought "hey maybe there will be a coupon this week".. but I was afraid they would be sold out. The crazy posts all over hcw and sd hadn't started yet, but I really did need a camera and figured $21.99 (I did the extra 10% too) wasn't bad.
I am actually hoping for a snazzy camera deal on black friday at best buy.. Ihave $100 in gift cards from the american express promo, but I couldn't wait that long. I do need to play around with the camera a bit, it seems like its a bit slow taking a picture and QUINN is wild, so he usually has moved on or turned his head by the time I have taken the picture. :) There might be a better setting for me, I will have to see.

I am actually disappointed I never went out for the free john freida and glad scented oil deals at Walgreens. I had held back thinking I would go with the $10 coupon, but then just never made it back over there. I was too tired last night :) Oh well.. I guess I wasn't desperate for hair goop or smelly things. :)

Hi KC,

I didn't need a thing at Walgreens except the camera last week nor anything at CVS. I also quickly looked at the flyers today and saw nothing that really appealed to me. I think with being so well stocked, I have gotten more selective. My DIL loves her camera. They were here for the day today to swim and for a cookout. I had picked her up a SD card that holds 800 photos so she was just snapping away today. I bought the i733 and she didn't say anything about it being slow. She is going to have to buy rechargeable batteries though because the regular batteries will not last long.

kc August 31, 2008 at 9:38 PM

Do you remember the price and size of the memory card? Radio shack has a 2GB card for $12.99, which seems decent.

I am hoping I can figure out the settings, there seem to be a million ones on there, and I was spoiled with my sony cybershot (hand me down from dad that finaly broke) and even my mom's kodak easyshare.. (from cvs black friday). Anyway, I will play with it some more..

I have some rechargable batteries somewhere.. I need to dig them out, I was using my mom's but I imagine she will won't them back with her camera. :)

KC,
That is a good price. I paid $ 14.99! However a friend told me she got the 2GB in a 2 pack at Fry's Electronics for $ 14.99!
