Wed & Thur Shopping...

>> February 04, 2010

Today we did a few errands: walgreens, cvs, sprouts (also hit up twice as nice and kohls)!

Walgreens (2 stores, 3 total orders)
Order #1
1 Contour Meter $14.99 - Free MQ= free
3 Hunts tomatoes $1.69 each = $5.07 total
Total $5.98 on a gift card
Earned $10 RR (meter) and $5 (for meter + hunts= $20+ total)

Order #2
1 Contour Meter $14.99 - Free MQ= free
3 Hunts tomatoes $1.69 each = $5.07 total
Total $5.98 on a gift card
Earned $10 RR (meter) and $5 (for meter + hunts= $20+ total)

Order #3
1 Contour Meter $14.99 - Free MQ= free
Total $0.91 on a gift card
Earned $10 RR (meter)

CVS (my mom's card)

Order #1
2 Dove Body Wash $5.49 - $1.50 IP= $3.99 each
2 Nature's Bounty Selenium 75% off... $2.25 each - $3 IP = $1.50 for both
-$8 ECBS
Total $2.73 on a gift card.
Earned $11.98 (dove) in ecbs

I wish I had (2) $2 insert Qs for the nature's bounty, it would have worked out better, but the $3 IP worked out ok. This is one supplement I watch for deals on!

Order #2
3 Soy Joy Bar 6-packs $6 - $2 MQ = $16 for all 3
2 Oust $3.99 each - B1G1 MQ= $3.99 for both
-$5 and $11.98 in ecbs
Total $4.53 on a gift card
Earned $18 (soy joy) and $6 (oust) in ecbs

2 cucumbers $0.39 each
4.35 lbs Red, Seedless Grapes ($0.88/lb)= $3.83
2 Green Peppers $0.50 each
Sweet Onions $0.61
Roma Tomates $0.49
Total $6.71 OOP

Yesterday, I managed to do 2 meter deals @ wags, both with $0.91 tax on a gift card and earned $10 RR.

Peter ran out for some super cheap bread for me, while I tutored. Quinn loves riding in mom's new truck! Plus at albies he can get a cookie and visit Bob the Builder!

3 Aunt Hatties Breads $1.29 each - $0.55 MQs = $0.29 each

Total $0.87 OOP

Ok.. so they are doubling/tripling coupons this week. Although of course it didn't automatically happen, I gave Peter a detailed list... showing the total would be $0.87 so he knew the $2.xx total was wrong. He mentioned it to the cashier, who got annoyed with him.. and sort of huffed about it and said well one of your coupons is expired, but I will let it go this one time.. then proceeded to take off the remaining $1.35 (for the doubling). Peter was even more annoyed with the attitude, but he did well. I am annoyed because the cashier lied.. I wish I had been there to question him and say "show me the Q".. I just cut out those aunt hatties Qs and they were all from the same insert and all expire 3/31/10.. so clearly still valid... But whatever I guess. The nice thing about it, we received one of the free bread/reusable tote surveys at the bottom of my receipt and will express annoyance in the survey!

Thanks for the heads up on the cheap bread deal at Albies! I will head over there before the sale ends. Thanks again!

I miss Sprouts. Do you think I will be able to get the Huggies Wipes and use the $10. Catalina from a Huggies Diaper deal? What is your take?

Hi Milloy Family,

This isn't our fave bread, but you can't beat the price! I am hoping to score a rain check, so I can get cheap bread again in a few weeks. I don't want to buy too much to freeze.. since bread doesn't seem to do as well as other things for us.

Hi Precious,

I am not sure what you are asking. What $10 huggies catalina deal are you talking about? Either I am clueless or its just too late for me to understand the question...

Hi KC,

Never mind. I was thinking the $10. Catalina was from the diapers and it was really from the Meter, so I guess I can use it.

Oh yeah.. definitely use the meter RR for your huggies!
